About Noel

Hi,

My name is Noel & I am a Reiki master practitioner with 20 plus years experience in doing Reiki for humans and pets.

As part of my Reiki training I was taught by first doing self- healing Reiki treatments, then moving onto my family, friends and of course our beloved pets!

Over the years my practice grew to include offerings of Reiki treatments personally & professionally in home, hospital, nursing homes, hospice, schools and animal shelters. These offerings have been both private , volunteer and in public settings.

I have both studied and worked professionally as an Ayurvedic Lifestyle Consultant specialising in women's health, birth and postpartum care for mother & child.

Aurveda is a system of knowledge & practice  known as "  The Science of Life " originating in India. Ayurveda is considered both an ancient art as well as a contemporary  science for the achievement of  health, wellness and spiritual development.

I am also a certified ayurvedic massage therapist and yoga teacher, educated both here in Sweden & India.

As a young girl, I took horsemanship lessons at summer camp during my teen age years. My recent return to the amazing and beautiful world of horses began just over 7 years ago when my daughter took up her interest in riding.

I wanted her to learn " the whole horse. "  She & I started to volunteer our time at a local  4H & also at our lovely local stable with a marvellous herd of Icelandic Horses.

I can not fully express how much these horses have changed my life, how much healing and comfort they have given me. I can't imagine my life without them (the horses) in it.

I straight away felt the connection between my hands, the horses and Reiki so I began to offer the horses Reiki while doing our daily routines of grooming & walking.  This evolved into full hands on  Reiki sessions for the horses from time to time right in the field.

I believe, it is in this mindfull state of complete awareness, that I call Reiki and with an open heart that our connection grows, our bonds deepen and our relationship to our horses and to ourselves softens.

From another perspective, Reiki shared with horses can also be called an equine assisted therapy practice. This happens in such a way that the person who is offering the Reiki energy enters into their own sense of deep peace thus finding support in their own healing process.

What is good for the horse is good for the human. This couldn't be more true in the case of Reiki.

My professional experience in the equine world includes working at Sweden's largest animal hospital, as a " djurvårdare " in the horse clinic on the surgical, ICU and emergency unit. ( Djurvårdare, in Swedish, is the equivalent of a Vet Tech/ assistant in English )

My studies inlcude equine Craniosacral Therapy, horse and rider first aid, equine science & welfare, the art of groundwork training at complete liberty, dressage in hand & positive reinforcement. ( +R )

The horses I share my daily life with are of course all the horses at our local stable & my lovely and oh so cute Minnie Pearl.

Once again, my life has come full circle & I find myself working with the same healing modalities as I do professionally with humans.

I am grateful to love what I do and do what I love.

Thank you for reading.

Live in Love,
Noel
